This all-inclusive beach tour in Mahahual takes you to a private stretch of Caribbean coastline on the Costa Maya, away from the cruise-port crowds that fill the main boardwalk on port days. The $95-per-person price covers private hotel-to-beach transfers, an open bar with unlimited drinks throughout the day, and a full meal served on-site — making this one of the more complete all-inclusive beach tours in Mahahual in terms of what's actually bundled.
On-site, you get snorkel gear for reef exploration and kayaks to paddle along the shoreline — no rental fees on either. Free Wi-Fi is available if you need it. The day runs at your own pace: most guests move between the water, the shade palapas, and the bar without a fixed schedule.
The facilities are worth understanding before you book. This is eco-friendly rustic construction — open-air wooden structures, no air conditioning, no resort infrastructure. It's a quieter, more natural setup, and that's the point. Guests who arrive with calibrated expectations rate it 4.56 out of 5 across 213 reviews. If you're looking for things to do in Mahahual that fill a full day with everything prepaid — including transport — this beach tour covers it without the markup of a hotel beach club.
Mahahual sits roughly 3 hours south of Cancun — most visitors arrive by car or shared transfer via MEX-307 south. Cruise ships dock at the nearby Costa Maya pier on port days, pushing the main boardwalk to capacity; a port-free date means a noticeably quieter beach. Reef-safe mineral sunscreen is required at natural sites across Quintana Roo — chemical formulas are banned. Water shoes help if the shoreline entry crosses reef rock.
Honestly, what got me was the kayaks — I figured a beach day would mean parking yourself in a chair, but I ended up paddling along the reef for an hour before I even touched a drink from the open bar. The private beach day in Mahahual really does keep the cruise-ship crowds at arm's length, which I wasn't expecting to matter as much as it did. If you're piecing together a day on the Costa Maya and want everything — transport, food, drinks, gear — sorted before you show up, this is the one I'd tell a friend to pull the trigger on.

We'll pick you up at the Costa Maya cruise terminal exit. After disembarking, head through the port toward the outer parking area and walk two blocks to the Mayan pyramid landmark — your guide will be waiting there to collect you and handle the transfer. The port is privately operated, so the exit route isn't always obvious; bypass the retail zone and move toward the perimeter.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled departure and you'll receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance are not refundable.
