Puerto Aventuras is on Highway 307, about 20 minutes by car south of Playa del Carmen and around 30 minutes north of Tulum, with Akumal a little further south. Cancún airport is about 80 km north. Buses and colectivos on the Cancún to Tulum run stop there, and a colectivo from Playa is about 35 pesos (2024). Once you're there, the marina is the place to hang out, ringed with cafés, restaurants and craft shops.
